About LensWatcher

LensWatcher is a free price tracker for camera lenses in the UK. We check what lenses cost, new, used and refurbished, so you can see the best price at a glance, watch how it changes, and get an email when a lens drops to the price you want to pay.

What we do

  • Track prices. Around 1,900 lenses from every major brand, on every mount they're made for, each with its best price new, used and refurbished.
  • Check them around the clock. Lenses with a price are re-checked twice a day, and ones with price alerts every two hours.
  • Show the whole price. eBay prices include UK postage, and any discount code that's running is already taken off.
  • Tell you when to buy. Set a price alert and we'll email you once a lens reaches your target. You can also get emails when new discount codes appear.

How we find prices

We track prices from online retailers and marketplaces, such as eBay and Amazon, and only keep listings that are really that lens: the right maker, focal length, aperture, version and mount. Lens caps, adapters, lenses for other cameras and faulty items are left out. We use fixed prices from UK sellers, so the price you see is a price you can pay today.

Prices change quickly, especially for used lenses, so always check the listing before you buy. Every price shows when it was last checked.

How LensWatcher is free

When you click through to a retailer and buy something, we may earn a small commission from them, through the eBay Partner Network and the Amazon Associates programme. It doesn't cost you anything extra, and it never affects which price we show as the best: that's always simply the cheapest we found.

Independent

LensWatcher isn't owned by or connected to any lens maker or retailer. Lens specs come from the open Lensfun and Wikidata databases, and photos from retailers' catalogues or Wikimedia Commons.
